to participate in the second round of the Export Access program.
As you may be aware, Export Access is a joint Government/private
sector initiative which is being funded by the Commonwealth Government
and delivered by the Australian Chamber of Manufactures (ACM) in co-operation
with other national and regional industry associations.
When we set up the program, I was convinced that there
are many opportunities for Australian goods and services in overseas
markets, but that many small firms lack the resources and expertise
to exploit them alone. I think that the number of firms applying to
participate in Export Access supports this view.
Export Access brings together the strength of public and
private sectors to ensure your business has every opportunity to meet
the challenge of competing in the world market. It offers you a great
opportunity to have expert advice in preparing for export and undertaking
overseas market visits.
